The writer guides this journey to assure: • Fun, order, and respect are included  • All elements are original  • Every child contributes  • The story maintains linear movement  • The main character experiences a personal transition   • There is no violence in the story   The artist draws the illustrations as the story is being created. This allows the kids to see their ideas come to life, which puts their imaginations into overdrive. When the story is complete the writer puts it into story form, adds it to the illustrations and reads it aloud to the group.
